Marijn Brussaard (1993) is an Amsterdam-based artist, composer, performer and electronic music producer/DJ (under the pseudonyms Universal Ryan and Know V.A.).
With a background in professional dance and performing arts, he creates conceptually and musically driven performances and installations, in which he reflects on the theatrics of hyper-contemporary phenomena. He finds that the tension and drama often lie in the inconsistencies and contradictions of these subjects.
He has performed and shown work at Eye Filmmuseum (Amsterdam), Lowlands Festival (NL), The Grey Space in the Middle (The Hague), De Singel (Antwerp), Scopitone (Nantes), Niedersächsisches Staatstheater (Hannover), The Unicorn Theatre (London), Lunchmeat Festival (Prague), La Station (Paris), All (Shanghai), Dada Bar (Beijing).
